Bulgogi Loco Moco

Ingredients:

• 16 oz ground beef

• 1/2 onion

• 5–7 button mushrooms

• 3 eggs

• 1 green onion

• Cooked rice

Seasoning:

• 2 1/2 tablespoons TK bulgogi galbi sauce

• Pepper

• 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

• 1 egg

Gravy Sauce:

• 1 1/2 cups beef broth

• 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

• 1 tablespoon ketchup

• 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce

• 1 tablespoon sugar

• 1 tablespoon butter

• 1 tablespoon potato starch mixed with water

Instructions:

  1. Finely chop the onion.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, panko, egg, and pepper. Mix well until sticky and cohesive.

  3. Thinly slice the remaining onion and mushrooms and set aside.

  4. Shape the seasoned beef mixture into round patties. Press the center of each patty slightly to prevent it from puffing up too much in the middle while cooking.

  5. Pan-fry the patties until cooked through.

  6. Remove the patties and set aside. In the same pan, add butter and sauté the sliced onion.

  7. Once the onions are softened, add the mushrooms and continue sautéing.

  8. In a bowl, mix beef broth with Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, soy sauce, and sugar. Pour this mixture into the pan with the onions and mushrooms. Bring to a boil while stirring.

  9. When the sauce starts boiling, add the potato starch mixture to thicken the sauce.

  10. Add the cooked patties back into the sauce and coat them evenly.

  11. In a separate pan, fry eggs sunny-side up, keeping the yolks runny.

  12. To serve, place rice in a bowl, top with a beef patty, pour over the gravy sauce, and place a fried egg on top.
